About Coho (Silver) Salmon
Coho salmon, often called “Silver” salmon, is prized for its approachable flavor and slightly leaner profile compared to sockeye. It has a beautiful orange-red flesh, moderate fat content, and a firm flake that holds together well when grilled, baked, or pan-seared.
Its versatility makes it a favorite for families and weeknight meals alike.
Simple Cooking Ideas
• Brush with olive oil, season with sea salt & pepper, and grill 4–5 minutes per side
• Roast at 400°F for 10–12 minutes with lemon and fresh herbs
• Pan-sear skin-side down for crispy skin and tender interior
• Flake into salads, grain bowls, or tacos
• Bake with a light maple glaze for a balanced sweet-savory finish
Cook just until it flakes easily with a fork — avoid overcooking to preserve moisture.
